    SIAP:Mister visiting Indiana

Saw that on twitter from the scout guy. Color me somewhat nervous. We fired the OC and his position coach and its not like Indiana is particularly lovely this time of year. I would think we would lose him to a bigger fish than that if he were to leave. Just found it interesting.

I'm very nervous about losing him, which is why we need to hire an offensive coordinator & running backs coach ASAP. Hopefully, the staff has already spoken to and reassured all of our current verbals.

The few times I clicked on the twitter remarks on here I seen that Lazard and him would talk all the time. This recent installment of spying on Mister I didn't see Lazard and him talking much.

We are not exactly Alabama compared to Indiana.. Hes a Chicago kid so of course that makes me nervous to see him trying to stay closer to home. Especially with the way Indiana was able to score points this year compared to what we were able to do on the offensive side of the ball of course he would want to check it out.

You apparently saw that portion of the tweet that said he was still solid to ISU. If he isn't going to Michigan State or Notre Dame, he damn sure isn't going to Indiana.

Indiana has a good offense. We just need to hire an OC who gives him confidence we will too.

Indiana is not a football powerhouse, but the guy that is now their coach is a recruiter. Last year, they landed 5 4-star guys and beat a lot of big-time prgrams for the guys. Interestingly, 2 of those 5 guys decommitted from other programs, so their coach knows how to play that game as well:

    • 4-star DBack Antonio Allen decommitted from Ole Miss and went to Indiana.
    • 4-star LB David kenney decommitted from Iowa and went to Indiana.

They had a big recruiting year last year, finishing 4th in the B10 and 38th in the country. One thing noticeably absent from the last two years' recruiting classes is RB's.

Although they went 5-7 this year, they averaged almost 40 points/game and play a very wide-open offensive style. Problem was they couldn't stop anyone.

Chicago to Bloomington is probably about 5 hours, if you're on the south side of Chicago. Don't know how far Ames to Chicago is, but it can't be much more than that.
