    Melt down to celebration

While disappointed in the first half of the game, I was finding much humor as I read the game day thread and all of the melt down, toss down stuff. As the game unfolded I couldn't help but laugh at all those that wanted the entire staff fired, believed Rohach stinks, wanted McCarney back, wanted Rhoads fired, etc, etc. Quite honestly its worth a re-read by anyone needing a bit of a chuckle in post game euphoria. Am hoping that those on the edge didn't hurt themselves, their furniture, or need their stomachs pumped.

Gameday threads on here are not even worth opening unless you want your IQ to drop 50 pts.

    Re: Melt down to celebration

At 6:15 I posted "Hope we can make this go to OT just to see if it gives me a stroke watching it."

In case anyone is wondering, I did not stroke out.

    Re: Melt down to celebration

I never go in them because well, I like to watch football during a football game. I did just take a look and randomly picked page 50 and found a gem.

Ballsohard said "there is a td I could care less about". Looks like it was bundrage's 1st td. Awesome, why are you watching and why are you in the thread?

    Re: Melt down to celebration

Gameday threads are real-time overreactions. Reading them afterwards seems like an activity for people who need a hobby.

    Re: Melt down to celebration

Yeah, I've kind of burned out on gameday threads once the game starts. Didn't read a single post. Did have fun calling out NoJantzes in his 'derp...why is everyone talking about football' thread, though.

    Re: Melt down to celebration

Team started playing D and getting turnovers about the time I quit reading/posting to the official gameday thread to cook supper. I view that as a sign to never go into those threads...

    Re: Melt down to celebration

It was looking pretty bleak down 31-7, so even we optimists were thinking about that new OC for next year ...

Say acoustimatic, I see you are from Lamoni. Is there a glow from down Mizzou's way? Congrats to your neighbors. The Tigers stepped up big time tonight. I've listened to many Mike Kelley broadcasts on SiriusXM, and tonight he was the most emotional I've ever heard. He is the consummate professional with his business like, almost monotone delivery. But I think he was about to lose it when he said the Tigers were lining up in the Victory formation, ready to claim their first SEC title. Awesome!!

    Re: Melt down to celebration

Cycophagus...the glow usually is fires burning down that way! lol. Mizzou def had a big win today and a big year. I honestly thought they had a solid chance in this game. Watched it with my nephew from St. Louis which was a treat. Talk about a team that has risen to the challenge!
