Re: Williams: A tip of the hat to Shontrelle Johnson

Shontrelle should go down as a great Cyclone, not necessarily for his numbers, but always running hard and being a great teammate.

He has had a real roller coaster of a career here at ISU.

Re: Williams: A tip of the hat to Shontrelle Johnson

I remember Shontrelle signing and I was very confident he was going to be a great one. After Arob graduated I was also very confident he was ready to take the reigns and be the stable horse that the offense needed in a running back. I feel that if he doesnt have the neck injury he very much would have been that player. Im very glad he came back and played after both injuries to finish his career in the Cardinal and Gold. Thanks Shontrelle for the hard work you put in day in and day out.

C'mon, Chris--we all know that Shontrelle has regressed from his sophomore to his senior season. Clear proof at how incompetent the offensive coaches are!

    Paul Rhoads' players never quit.
    (They just disappear offseason)

To quote Larry the Cable Guy, "I don't care who you are, that's funny."

Looks like his best running has been the past two games...he is turning it on.

Re: Williams: A tip of the hat to Shontrelle Johnson

It seems each season I get a little more and more choked up watching the seniors play in their last game. Maybe it's just me getting older, but it seems these players simply love this school and fan base as much as I do, and they show it. I'm going to miss this group of seniors!

Re: Williams: A tip of the hat to Shontrelle Johnson

Didn't Shontrelle have pretty much the same cervical spine fusion that Peyton Manning had? Can't even imagine going back on a football field after that, let alone all the rehab it takes to get back into football shape (while going to school). Here's hoping #21 has a long and productive life. Based on his discipline and mental make up, I am guessing he will be a success in whatever he tries.
