No Suspension for Kane! I posted this elsewhere...
In May of 2011, the NCAA approved rule changes to the way that flagrant fouls were handled. They are now split into two types (like the NBA categories), and there is no longer a suspension given for the next game.
I thought flagrant foul 1 was used to replace what was previously called "intentional foul". And fragrant foul 2 replaces what was previously simply called fragrant foul. If that is the case, the correct call was made.
