Re: How many years did the BYU game take off your life?

I'm 27 and after that game, I feel like I should be collecting Social Security checks and playing shuffleboard in Florida.

So frickin jealous of what they have in Ames. It's truly amazing what Fred has done coming in with 0 coaching experience.

Probably around five...but if they keep doing the Michigan & BYU finishes, I won't survive the season. I'm too old to give up that many years!

Re: How many years did the BYU game take off your life?

I've gone through ten games of this football season and have been an ISU fan for years.

I was waiting for them to sink in the three at the end, but wasn't stressed until it happened. And it didn't. So no stress.

Re: How many years did the BYU game take off your life?

    None.

We don't get the U so didn't watch it.

Woke up in the middle of the night and thought about checking the score, but decided if ISU had won, I'd want to spend the next hour on CF; and if they'd lost I'd be lying in bed stewing and not sleeping for a couple hours playing what-if games in my head.

No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine.

Re: How many years did the BYU game take off your life?

I was nervous as always, but to me, this was everything to gain and little to lose. More than anything, I wanted these guys to compete at a level that proved that the Michigan game wasn't a fluke. They definitely did that.

But yeah, I was so hyped up that I had to take some Zquil to drop off by 1 am.

More importantly, I think it made the team stronger. Last year, we lost some close ones with minor slips of composure at the end of tight games. This year, in both this and the Michigan game, I thought I saw them hold on to their composure and not panic. Very heart-warming.

Re: How many years did the BYU game take off your life?

Absolutely zero...I went into the game figuring they were going to lose so I didn't get too worked up...

And in the 2nd half they just kept making plays that made me think they were going to win but I still had the attitude of they will blow it late...like ISU teams have done in the last 2 years...

It was actually very surreal to watch, it was like BYU was a past ISU team and ISU was KU or Mizzou and just kept making plays to win.

And I was rather surprised when that last BYU shot didn't go in...

I started avidly following Cyclone sports in 7th grade. I'm now 28, and based on the **** I've seen in the last 15 years, I don't understand how I'm still alive or how I was able to father a child.
