He may be the best leader we have had at ISU in years. No way in years past ISU wins this game based on chemistry issues and too many guys wanting to be "the man" at this point. Thought some players were pressing too hard to start today and Ejim came in and suddenly everyone knew their role and ISU got it going. Going to be a fun ride for him this year I hope!
We don't win this game at this point in the year with last year's team - Ejim talked on the post game with DV about the biggest difference between the two ISU teams - we are BETTER on 'D.' We got stops down the stretch and didn't let them get back into it. It stayed a 3 possession game with under 45sec to go & that was huge.

This team is going to be very good. I'm not convinced that we don't have a shot at a conf title. Ejim, Niang and Hogue are a load for any team to deal with down low especially on the boards...but then you add Kane down low who can also post up at will and this team has the potential to give any team match up problems. Like Ejim said in the post game..this team may not be as prolific of a three point shooting team but this team can abuse you down low and is a far better defensive team. Add some occasional threes and this team has loads of upside.
This x1000! I expected him to be rusty - but he was, in my estimation the best player on the floor (with NS of Mich a close second). I am so glad we had him today - I agree with another poster, we do not win this without him!
Thanks for starting this thread. Great idea!! What impressed me the most tonight was 1) he didn't seem rusty at all, and 2) he has added some new inside moves that he did not have last year. It is always fun to watch a player develop over the years, but in Ejim's case, the improvement has been unMELievable.
Truely one of our greats and he hasn't played his senior season yet. Just a great example of everything that is good about college athletics. I am going to love watching him play this year. Great player. Just keeps getting better.
