I just did a quick scientific survey and exactly 6 of the past 10 BCS titles have been won with a former defensive coordinator as the head coach.

The post says "successful head coach that was a DC". Stoops and Beamer definitely qualify.

No. Jim Harbaugh was a Quarterback for Michigan and various teams in the NFL.

Yeah, I forgot that. They just seem like defensive minded people.

Don't disagree but how many teams are actually hiring defensive guys now? They actually discussed on NFL today a few weeks ago that there may be more talented DC in the NFL than ever because no one wants to hire them as head coaches.

John coached special teams and defensive backs, so he's more of a defensive minded coach.

Failed post. For the record the defense wasn't the reason tuberville got canned at Auburn.

Paul Rhoads. Three bowls games in first four years at IOWA STATE! That's very rare air.

Pretty much a swing and a miss on this one.

When a team finishing 9th out of 10 in the conference is going to a bowl game, we need a new way to measure success. Even at Iowa State.

I don't do signatures. Blondes, brunettes, and red heads are a different story.
