It is hard to argue that his should not be getting a little bit warm heading into next year. If the team goes 1-11 next year... Then we have a serious problem. So calling it a hot seat heading into next year is accurate IMHO.

Surly, you clearly had great enjoyment from posting that.

Fact of the matter is Paul Rhoads is on the hot seat from a national perspective and understandably so, but it's worth pointing out Jamie Pollard along with a lot of ISU fans believe Paul is the guy to get it done in Ames.

    End thread.

That picture of Rhoads looks like his laxative just started working.

I am in this boat as well. I think he gets one more shot at making some coaching changes. If we are have a horrible season next year... He will have one more year after that to turn it around. Then he will be gone.

this is why i simply don't believe he's on anything approaching a hot seat today. he's a great spokesman for isu. a great face of the athletic program along with the mayor and wbb coach. rhoades needs to be given time.

Re: hot seat here, i don't believe it ...

Well, with how many Cyclone fans called for Messingham to be fired last year and it didn't get done, for Rhoads to gain more support, he needs to cut him loose this year.

While I support Rhoads and want him here for the long hall and think he is best for this University, it's going to be hard to back him if Messingham is still on staff, and we lose to NDSU 28-10, and our one touchdown was a kickoff return.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

Too bad he is employed for the purpose of winning football games.

I think 1 winning season in 5 would get anyone's seat a little warm at least.

hiring friends brought Chizik down, CPR must not make the same mistake. Go get a marquee or at least a known quantity
