How many wins will Lazard get us next year?

I'm just curious how many games that Lazard will move from the L column to the W column.

How many wins is he worth a year?

What would our record be this year if he was already playing?

    Is he playing QB?

If not - doubt it matters

Zero. He's a WR and this is college football not basketball. I think it's hilarious that some people think that he and Tommy Mister are going to revolutionize how the game is played as true freshman.

I just hope the throw more over the tops to him and Mongomery taking advantage of the size. I look at how Missouri uses beckum and I would say they are fairly similar players

Well he will surely help. Him and Montgomery will force the safeties to stay honest and it SHOULD help the running game. WR's next year will be legit, now you just have to put them in the right place and take advantage to how the defense adjusts to them.

Do we have a new offensive coordinator who can figure out how to get him the ball? If not, then zero. If yes, then probably +4 wins from this years' total.

Depends who is coaching/directing the offense next year.

No changes? Same old same old....

Montgomery has had 6 catches in college.

Could he double that number at Iowa State?

Also, with Montgomery and Lazard coming in, do we have to worry about every other receiver on the roster transferring?

I can't imagine that Bundrage is going to be happy playing 3rd fiddle.

Re: How many wins will Lazard get us next year?

Big time over the top play makers at WR are exactly what this offense needs. Won't matter who is calling plays if our current WR continue to drop passes amd get shut down at the LOS. Hopefully lazard and Montgomery are ready to make an immediate impact next season.

If that happens, I think we will see a much more efficient offense. The run game wil open up, our QBs will have better targets to release the ball quickly, thus keeping them healthy.

Every time we play a physical defense (tech last year) they have loaded the box and dared us to throw deep. Hopefully lazard and Montgomery can make them pay.

Good try, but Montgomery was hurt all year so that number doesn't tell the whole story

I would imagine that Bundrage is excited about playing with some really talented WR's as it means he will see less focus from defenses. You got to remember, not everybody is as negative as posters on this board.

Bundrage will still be the lead WR next year. Those two guys will just add an extra dimension with their size that we don't currently have.

Montgomery had only 6 catches as a true freshmen but he was hurt the entire year. He rarely played. He'll be 2 years older and healthier. I'd expect him to contribute quite a bit next year.

People are putting the cart way in front of the horse on Lazard. I think he'll be one of the better cyclones of this decade eventually. But even Dorial Green Beckham, a more highly touted recruit with more talent surrounding him at Mizzou didn't do much till this year.

What would our record be with Lazard this year?

Would we be teetering on bowl eligibility?
