I think the article also mentions that ISU has 35 POW awards - Kansas is second highest with 11. That is incredible - Mass and Hahn really stacked the deck for us!

Here is the RPI rankings which have us coming in at 33rd this week:
    Rankings | NCAA.com

Is it just me or weren't we 29th in RPI last week. I know for a fact that the week before that we were 40th. If so, that sucks to win both games during this past week and drop a whopping 4 spots. Granted, Baylor and TCU aren't exactly barn-burner wins that I figured would catapult us much higher at all if any, but I can't say that I expected us to drop 4 spots with those wins either. Whatever teams that leapfrogged us must have had some solid W's over the past few days. If so, props to them.

Live by RPI, die by RPI.

Two years ago it was very kind to us, this year the RPI can RIP as far as we're concerned:)

could be that some of our previous opponents lost as well, but yes, we were 29th last week.

A lot of arguments can be made in all the other sports about how overrated RPI may be in tournament seeding, differing polls, bowl games... etc. However, in volleyball, RPI is HEAVILY used for tournament seeding and used way more than any other sport that I know of. Therefore, RPI is not overrated in volleyball as long as they use it as much as they do. Like you said, based on our recent history, we've been on both sides now of the RPI coin where it overly favored us a few years and has overly hurt us lately.
