The Senior class playing their last few games these next few weeks has dedicated their past 4-5 years to trying to become the best football players they can be to provide us spoiled fans with the best football team they can make. Whether you think they deserve your support or not, they at least deserve your respect.
I don't see it as bragging, rather, explaining the rationality behind the thousands of us season ticket holders who may choose not be there.

There are opportunity costs involved when attending an ISU game, as others have mentioned. Always have been. Those opportunity costs seem a little more costly during a season like this - when you have a pretty specific idea of what the product look like on Saturday.

Ernst Brun tweeted that he might hit up the Urbandale game tonight. Senior captain who hasn't been able to play much do to his injury still cares enough to take time out of his schedule to watch and support a future cyclone. Great senior class. Class act Ernst.

Yeah, everyone going to the game Saturday is complicit in this failure. That's a pretty stupid proposition IMO.

another thing I find annoying is "dont show up to let the athletic dept know youre not happy".

do you really think the ath dept thinks everything is fine? derp......

    Bingo!

I'm just happy that a very small percentage of our fans have the attitude of the majority of the people on this board. If that weren't the case, then the reputation of our fan base would just be like anyone else's instead of the high standard it is viewed at by those outside.

Exactly! Because our athletic department doesn't want to make any more money. They don't ever want to bowl in the south endzone. They don't ever want to grow the amount of donors and amount the donors give. They don't want to grow the fan base. They are satisfied with having 10% of the fans Iowa does. They want to make sure that if big realignment ever comes around again, we are left to join the MAC.

There are so many completely ignorant statements being thrown around lately, I just thought I'd join the fun.

You bet, just like the ticket sales and overall attendance of Okie State game.
