K-State Mascot pregame skit causes seizure

    The Manhattan Mercury

Warning, this is hard to watch. I saw this on the WV board, didn't see it posted here. Sounds like he is all right, but who ever thought this kind of pre-game skit was a good idea?

Edit: Can someone move this to Big 12 conference? That's where I meant to put it

    That is just unbelievably dumb.

Not only do they tackle a guy - who is not wearing a helmet - at full speed...

But they leave him to writhe around in front of the whole crowd as they cheer on the tackle.

The second piece I can maybe understand as perhaps someone thought he was just acting strangely, and the mascot may not have noticed. But seriously, why tackle anyone straight on like that?

First he kicks some kid in the face, and now he causes a seizure. Someone needs to take that bodiless mascot out back with a shotgun.

We're talking about Kansas State - the school who's only "dis" on Iowa State is "hahaha flood waters."

That is sick. The tackle was bad enough as the guy's head snapped back gainst the ground. Then cheering while guy is having convulsions is disgusting.

Glad I won't be there in person to see what they do to the "ISU" fan.

Well, that'll put an end to that stunt pretty fast.

I don't think the law is "you run on the field, it's a free-for-all on your health and life". I see a lawsuit coming.

Isn't this a stunt they used to do before all home games? Noticed I said "used" to do.

Re: K-State Mascot pregame skit causes seizure

Yeah, saw some info that said it was a KSU cheerleader dressed up as a WV student.

Just a gigantic ball of stupidity there in that video. Plus, if you watch closely, you see it's the WV coaches that realize he's in seizure and summon THEIR medical staff.

The Worst Sports Mascot of All Time (WSMAT) continues doing that absurd...cheer?...while the kid likely has a concussion, possibly bleeding on the brain.

    Fun times, KSU. Stay classy.
