Absolutely. So, out of our 6 home games, 3 will have 11am start times. Like the OP said....BARF. Though there are two positives for me to early starts: Going to Perkins for breakfast before the game (I don't tailgate), and then still getting home in time to watch the real teams play in prime time.

Like many others have already said in this thread.....suck-*** teams play in suck-*** time slots on suck-*** networks. Win games and win better television prioritization.

It seemed like FS1 was in a hurry to get their commercial breaks in early on in the game. They must've known the game was gonna get out of hand in the 2nd half and the viewership would have been greatly reduced by then. That was one of the longest 1st halves I can ever remember sitting through.

    ISU - 3 - punt - 0:47

    [OSU - 0 - TD - 0:00]
    ISU - 3 - punt - 0:28

ELEVEN possessions (12 if you count the runback) in the first 15:03. 38 total possessions in 60:00. Ridiculous.

I don't understand why everyone is complaining about the tailgating. I'll give you the UNI one just because it was so damn hot, but every tailgate has been a blast for me. If you're not enjoying the tailgating, then you're not doing it right

Can TV networks really do this? That is very interesting if true. I guess I never really thought about who dictates when its a TV commercial break or play on. I just know there is an official time keeper with a bright orange sleeve with a headset who signals to the refs whether to play on or stop for TV.

FSN isn't technically a channel. Fox Sports Networks is the collective name of a bunch of regional stations owned by Fox. I believe that the OSU game was listed as being on FSN and was on Fox Sports Midwest, which I know DirecTV subscribers in this area get. If you go to FSN's coverage map though it doesn't look like Illinois gets any FSN channel?

I assure you Dan McCarney is not the issue. We're seven years removed from Jamie Pollard canning him, so if we're still feeling the effects of his coaching tenure--we've got more problems than originally thought.

Seems like when I was in college (2001-2005) most games were 11 am kicks.

You haven't lived if you aren't standing in the dark outside your truck at 4:30am, shivering and drinking an ice cold beer.

True, but I'd rather only "live" once per season.

At least the game this weekend is afternoon, anybody else heading down to Manhattan??

There were five 11:30 home games between '01 and '05. No 11:00 games. That's what frozen dark drinking will do to a person.
