As a lifetime, diehard Bengals fan, it's refreshing to have a star receiver that is not a diva. AJ every day and twice on Sundays.

The Jordy Nelson remark was dumb, but Brandon Marshall is easily a top 5 receiver.

I don't know. Maybe I'd take him over Fitzgerald due to age but I have to think Fitzgerald would be as good with the Bears as Marshall is.

Re: A.J. Green or Dez Bryant?

I had to look up who AJ Green even was. That might not be a bad thing though. I prefer team players the go out and do the job without the diva talk. Give me my favorite receiver Reggie Wayne any day over Dez Bryant.

AJ Green the machine. He is the person that made Dalton respectable in the NFL. Romo can throw it to anyone. Also, AJ is wayyy more consistent than Dez.

Re: A.J. Green or Dez Bryant?

What if Jerry Rice played in today's NFL? He obviously not the freak athlete these guys are but with having more opportunities, how much more productive would he have been? Would have been the same guy?

No. You must not watch a lot of Bengals football.

Yeah, I don't know if Marshall is easily a top five guy. He's definitely in the conversation. It's just hard to get a good read on how much Fitzgerald has left in the tank because he hasn't played with a good QB since Kurt Warner retired. I hope he gets dealt to a contender with a decent QB in the offseason. Could be as good as Randy Moss' first season with the Patriots after he came over from Oakland and everyone thought he was finished.

As for the AJ Green or Dez conversation, I'd take AJ. And that's not a slam on Dez; he's crazy explosive and one of the best if not the best big play threat in the league right now. I'll just go with the guy who causes fewer distractions.

I think a list of NFL wide recievers is best summarized as follows:

    1. Megatron
    2. Everyone else.

Re: A.J. Green or Dez Bryant?

The question is who is better between Dez and AJ, not who the best receiver in the league is. Obviously CJ is better than both of these guys and wasn't even in the debate. Posting that you would take CJ over Dez or AJ is a waste of everyone's time.

You can make the same argument about Johnson and Lions. Megatron is the best receiver in the league but his numbers get inflated because over the last 2 years, no one has thrown the ball more than the Lions. Im biased but based on last years stats, Marshall was the most important receiver to his team. He was more than half of his teams receiving yardage and basically the only threat CHI had last year. There are only a couple other guys who you could put in his spot and get his production, pry only Johnson and Fitzgerald. The top receivers in football go

    1. Megatron
    2. Marshall
    3. Fitz

and theres no one else in that category...yet.

Of course. I think that goes without saying.
