Long overdue from my perspective, and may not go far enough. I'd like to see low post play cleaned up as well.

Anyone know if a similar effort will apply to WBB?

The way I interpreted the rule, it should be a great advantage to ia st.

The purpose was to increase scoring and improve shooting percentages. Two things isu is all about.

And defensively, the way isu playes should be well within the new rules.

It will affect teams like kstate and wisconsin much more.'

But what about when the refs call the fouls on us when we don't commit them, and don't call them on KU when they do commit them... just puts more control in refs hands... that's what I hate.

I hear what you are saying, and agree to a point. BUT, I do feel that it helps us more than KU for example. They clutch and grab on the perimeter all the time. There are FAR more opportunities for refs to call those fouls than there are with our guys. We don't play clutchy grabby defense... there are fewer chances for us to get called on this than there are with teams like KU or Okie State. The odds are in our favor with these changes.

Re: Our buddy, Curtis Shaw talks new basketball rules

Watching ISU over the past few years, I think these rules will help our perimeter players and hurt our help defense. I cannot even imagine what KSU is thinking. Their whole defensive philosophy has been hockey on the BB court with checks and holds. Stopping cuts, penetrations and such. This should be an interesting game to watch.
