Re: Practice Report: Efficiency over electricity

Same line should apply to our football team?

Football and Basketball should never even be in the same sentence when it comes to this year. Talk about polar opposites.

Re: Practice Report: Efficiency over electricity

When I saw the thread come up, I was wondering if it was basketball or football. I was hoping it was about football actually and didn't think it made sense for basketball, but reading the article made sense. Thought it would be in reference to our shooting not our passing, glad it wasn't. I always thought chemistry and the right combination of players were important, but Lucious not going crazy on turnovers was also a major change between non-con and conference last year.

Not polar opposites when it comes to needing inexperienced and young guys to learn fast, develop, and get through some growing pains. Hope everyone is patient with them. Even our more experienced teams have struggled in preconference basketball games. I don't even look forward to playing UNI or Iowa so early, cuz I'm too dang stubborn to accept that they may have a crucial leg-up in experience and players being in the program. Am I the only one that hates the in-state games?? Love the Michigan, Auburn, BYU and those matchups instead.

No, you're not the only one. I don't like playing them either basketball or football. Unless both teams someday soon improve to the point where it's not will we win, it's how much will we win by.

Re: Practice Report: Efficiency over electricity

I just find it a stretch that our oline will get good fast enough next year to significantly wing things to a rushing game. I really miss Os. Woody could run/hide behind him all day. Now we have tall skinny guys with little oomph.
