CBS Top 100 players, Niang and Ejim listed

    CBSSports.com's Top 100 Players - CBSSports.com

    95. Georges Niang (Iowa State)
    Vitals: 6-7 | Soph. | F
Comment: Niang is a difficult matchup for opponents due to his ability to shoot from the perimeter and knack for scoring at the rim. -- JB

    72. Melvin Ejim (Iowa State)
    Vitals: 6-6 | Sr. | F
Comment: Ejim is a tweener forward who can play down low but floats to the mid-range as well. He'll easily average a double-double this year. -- MN

No other in state players are listed.

    Also the #1, #2, #11, #18,
    #24, #28, #31, #37, #52, #60, and #68 players all come to Hilton this year.

Looks right. Those two guys are going to win us a lot of games this year.

    What he meant to say...

    3. Doug McDermott (Creighton)
    Vitals: 6-8 | Sr. | F
Comment: McDermott is the premier scorer in college basketball. Don't get caught up in his NBA potential; enjoy him in his final year of college hoops, because you won't see him play after this year.-- Matt

I think its a pretty good list...
-3 true freshmen in the top 31 for KU.
-2 guys from BYU, that is going to be a really tough game.
-I don't get Sam Dekker at 29, I think he is good, but not great.
-We have some great players coming through Hilton this year.

Expect the word "knack" to be a frequent descriptor associated with Niang. I think I heard that last season — along with several occurrences of "uncanny."

Each would rank higher in a top-100 ranking at the end of the season, I'll bet.

Only 4 Big XII schools represented on this list unless I missed something. Could be a year of the haves against the have nots. We need to make hay against the bottom and sweep Baylor. Third place would be a major achievement for this team, and a serious indication of what the future has in store

Re: CBS Top 100 players, Niang and Ejim listed

I'd say both players are underrated. Ejim should be mid 40's, Niang mid 60's. I'll take either over Markel Brown or LeBryan Nash. This isn't a list of NBA potential. That's my dig.

I'd probably put Marble in the 80-90's somewhere, if he can be consistent.

That's really the kicker. When he's on he's a game changer. When he's off he disappears entirely.

I didn't find it on CBS, but I did find a list with an appropriate hok reference:
    Chicken Curry with Ginger

    INGREDIENTS
    • 1 1/2 lbs chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
    • 2 tablespoons lime juice
    • 2 tablespoons Fish Sauce or salt to taste
    • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon Red Curry Paste*
    • 1-13.5 oz can Coconut Milk or Lite Coconut Milk
    • 1 red onion, sliced
    • 1 red bell pepper, cored and sliced
    • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro or basil
    • 2 tablespoons peeled, thinly sliced ginger
    • *also tastes great with A Taste of Thai Panang Curry Paste, Yellow Curry Paste or Green Curry Paste

Utah Utes, Illinois Illini. The University of Pennsylvania thought about following this pattern by calling themselves the Pennsylvania Pencils. However, they were afraid their students would start chanting "We're No. 2"

I really think Ejim is going to be a 15 ppg and 10 rpg type of guy. Niang will continue to be a scorer and I expect his defense will be improved since his conditioning sounds to be vastly improved as well. Cannot wait to see this duo take on the Big 12 this season!

Depends if it's the Nash who plays against ISU or his typical effort. Seems to have his best games against us.
