    Sam B next week

Do we sit him and let him get healthy? He looks some good when he can plant and you could see some times today when he just wasnt right on his throws. Hate to say we dont have a chance against Baylor but I dont think we do with an injured QB. Still Sam's job to lose but he needs his legs to be effective.

Yes....we should sit him. Love Sam, but he was as injured in the second half as he was against Iowa. Just not the same with him not be able to create with his feet.

He is healthy. His legs are fine. He had a 40 yard run at full sprint. If you can do that you should be able to throw standing still. The injured leg excuse is getting old. We should sit him but not because he's injured but because he stinks.

I do not understand people who say this. Our O-Line was atrocious, no time to throw, receivers got no separation. Sure he missed some throws but dear god stop being so ignorant and look at other things than his mistakes.

He is really good when we give him time and when the running game helps the receivers get a step.

Because he is an uneducated ball-watcher. Doesn't understand the game and that it's not all the QB. Plenty of "fans" here in that same boat. They blamed Arnaud too for all of the offensive problems. Hell, a good number loved to use Myer as their whipping boy too.

It's easier for the simpleton fan to just say "put in the backup QB" than to admit there are bigger problems on the offense.

Sam just isn't that good, IMO. He's not a walking turnover machine like SJ and he's a little more capable passer than JB, but overall we're not much better at QB than we were last year. Until that position gets fixed, we'll struggle.

Can we get your backup poster to take over your handle?

People who don't think Sam is a good QB, don't you think if we've had 3 straight bad starting quarterbacks the problem might be more than the quarterbacks and have something to do with the rest of the offense?

Name the last good Iowa State offense. The first half of 2002?

It's a "need more talent on that side of the ball" problem.

I disagree with your opinion. Sam is 8 games in to his career as RS SO and you're already writing him off.

That's my point though. Do you really think we've just had awful QB's for a decade or do you believe that it is part of a bigger problem?

We haven't had all awful quarterbacks but we haven't had even CLOSE to the same amount of talent that our conference mates have had. Who was the last skill position player we had who would've started unquestionably on half of the other teams in the conference? Who has been our "game breaker" we could count on to make a play?

Sam is not the problem. He takes good care of the ball, can make most of the throws and appears to be a good leader on the field. He probably takes too many sacks, but I would rather he do that than chuck the ball up for grabs. There are bigger problems with this offense. Just pathetic that we have only had a 100 yard rusher a couple of times in the past two years
