Re: Q&A: One-on-one with Georges Niang

Still any doubters that Kane won't start?

But DeAndre is going to run our team. He is a fifth-year guy and a great leader. I am totally content with him having the reigns and running this team.

Me too, I just thought it was crazy that there were some people doubting him starting in the starting line-up thread

Re: Q&A: One-on-one with Georges Niang

I don't see any way that CW can take Georges one-on-one. CW might score a point if Georges feels sorry for him. Very, very sorry.I don't think I could watch this game.

I'm still waiting for the results for CW's one-on-one with Billy Fennelly.

Do you mean Bubu lovers like Fred Hoiberg?

Um, I think the thought was Bubu starting at point, Kane starting at the 2 or 3. Not that ridiculous.

Correct. That's what I was hearing as well. Ideally, I think Fred would have liked to start Bubu at PG and play Kane at the 2 or 3. I do believe Kane will be the starting PG most likely, but mostly because he's the best we have there right now with Bubu out. I don't necessarily believe it's Kane's best position though.

I think the perfect scenario for Fred would be that Morris would show himself as a true freshman to be capable of running the point for this team for a decent portion of the game so that Kane could move to the off guard. But I don't think Fred is going to entrust the starting PG position to a true freshman right off the bat. And Naz isn't a good enough ball handler to start at PG IMO. He can provide minutes there if needed, but off guard is his best position as well.
