    Glee

Wondering how many fanatics are fans of this as tonight is the episode they honor cory monteith. I'm not a fan (only episode I watched was the one with Britney Spears) but will be watching.

    Re: Glee

Not watching it live as we're still getting caught up on the last season of dexter at the moment (we started at season 1 about two months ago -> just started the last season today). Thank goodness for hulu plus. I will say that i am very much wanting to see it though and am curious what direction they will take the show now.

Just because you stopped watching it after some of the people graduated doesn't mean the show is over.

I get that Cory Montmeith passing away is a huge deal to the show - but it isn't like he died in service to his country of anything. He died of a smack overdose, right? He was talented, but this sort of glorifies how he died.

    Re: Glee

The preliminary autopsy report stated that Monteith died from "a mixed drug toxicity" consisting of heroin and alcohol.

It noted that Monteith also had
codeine and morphine in his system at the time of his death, and that he was found with drug paraphernalia that included a spoon with drug residue and a used hypodermic needle, as well as two empty bottles of champagne

    Re: Glee

Sorry I brought it up. This death was probably due to his lifestyle but there are so many that struggle with all kinds of issues of addiction. No reason to dig at a young man who left way too soon. It was very good tribute.

yeah I think it was known that he had struggled with addiction. I'm sure it doesn't make it any less painful for friends and family.

Don't be. I'm sorry for being insensitive. I didn't know he had died and I was shocked.

I've only seen the show a handful of times but watched most of this one since you brought it up - thought it was very well done. Focused on the pain the loved ones are left to deal with and you know all the emotions were real. The bit at the end about addiction was very good. Hopefully it will help others who are struggling with that battle.
