    CPR is a goof!

Re-watching the Texas game, and the announcers have laughed at CPR's antics at least 3 or 4 times. I have noticed the announcers in every televised game laughs at least a few times because of Rhoads. I'm glad we have a coach with great passion for ISU football, and he is always worth watching just for his sideline craziness!!

The Chiz was much more emotional.

    Re: CPR is a goof!

I took that as an insult to CPR as they were pretty much making fun of his passion for his players and wanting to win the game. Many say they liked the announcers, I thought they were horrible. It was all about the Texas and Oklahoma game coming up and never gave us much respect at all.

Kirk Ferentz' passion for coaching makes Paul Rhoads look like Stephen Hawking on the sidelines.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

    Re: CPR is a goof!

Of course on Bundrage's long TD they kept showing a coach running down the sidelines with him and saying it was Rhoads...it was actually Sturdy...

So there's more than one coach with passion on the sidelines...

    Re: CPR is a goof!

Rhoads is a goof, and it is corny, but you can't question his sincerity (unless you can't stand good publicity for ISU). I've also heard him speak at functions and he is a smart guy and a great speaker.

The passion is an atmosphere, not an act. That's what we see out of all of them.

Fox and FS1 are the only networks that have any reason to care about Big 12 football as a whole outside of the Texas/ESPN connection.

If FS1 succeeds and improves it'll help ISU football and other non-Texas Big 12 teams in their media coverage. Hard for me to say that given my opinions on Rupert Murdoch's criminal history and life in general.

There's definitely something to our conference losing the battle of public opinion in the media. Big 12 teams are consistently the most underrated comparing the AP poll to the computer average, it's really not even close.

I also thought that the announcers for the ESPN game (vs. TX) spent far too much time talking about everything but the game being played. I thought Fox Sports 1 actually did a better job.

I thought Jesse Palmer's shirt was way too tight, like he was just trying way too hard to let us all know that he benched 245 lb last week.

My biggest beef was that they gave ISU little to no credit for their efforts in the game. It was all about how bad Texas was playing and how they "should" beat up ISU every time. Never a thought to ISU actually being a solid team and legitimately outplaying Texas for most of the game. No, it has to be a fluke that ISU was in the game the entire time.

A fluke hail mary and one big run early kept Texas in the game. If someone rotates better and stops the 44 yard run early, and oneof the DBs knocks down that ball, Texas ends up getting beat by double digits.
