I'll tell you what you CAN hear loud and clear on the t.v. right after Texas scores that last TD by their left Tackle or TE - "**** YEAH!". A couple times just in case you missed it.

Why wasn't the spot reviewed? I say it on the video board and thought for sure we would challenge the spot.

Geez, just take a look every time Sam Slid. They literally moved the ball back to the last spot he was at before he got into the slide. Most of those were a good 2 to 3 yards short of where the ball was when he actually slid.

Luckily it wasn't, we probably would have lost another 3 yards.

Just overall worst officiated game I've ever seen. I used to not believe the conspiracies but what choice do I have now? We've gotten screwed 2 times against conference powers in 2 different sports. The KU basketball game was bad but not this bad.

Didn't watch the whole thing over but the run by Sam what the marked at the 14 was crazy bad. Wimberly's run should have made it 2nd and inches instead of second and one.

Re: If you DVR'd the Texas game...

I agree. Should've been 2nd and inches. The ref spotted the ball at least 3/4 of a yard shy of where Wimberly went down. I still think we should have gone with Woody, regardless of the spot. If not Woody, should have had Sam sweep to the big side of the field with the option to pitch to Wimberly with Woody and Bibbs as leading the way. Don't get me wrong...doesn't take away from the fact that we got ROBBED!

Yeah I noticed this as well, and thought to myself that CPR should of asked them to look at the spot. Then I figured ISU had 2 downs to get the yard, and it wasn't worth the challenge. Still quite upset with that 2nd down play call...

I noticed the spots seemed short many times. One thing a lot of people may not consider is that there's a difference between 2nd and inches and 2nd and 1 that affects how you call plays.

Re: If you DVR'd the Texas game...

Yes, the spots were shorting us yardage on a lot of plays. That play should have been 2nd and inches, if not a 1st down outright. There were several others where we were shorted a full yard. I said in another thread that I noticed this and mentioned it a couple of times in the Game thread. It was blatant and gave me a sick feeling about these refs.

Re: If you DVR'd the Texas game...

Yes, we were amazed at how much yardage was "lost" by ISU on ball spots. Then I noticed on a Texas play (they were moving N) the pass was to the flat, the receiver caught the ball a full 2 yards behind the LOS and the ISU tackler nailed him immediately after the reception. The ball was spotted at the original LOS. This was, I think, in the 2nd half and Texas was around the 40 YL if I remember correctly.

No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine.

Yeah, but you gotta give them forward progress, man. They started at the line of scrimmage, so forward progress would say that you can't put the ball behind that. Sheesh, I'm pretty sure that's covered in the first Big12 officiating class, like on the first day. Look it up online, I think there's a syllabus. Search for "Bevo and me, getting started in Big12 officiating".

He sounds like he was playing to kick a fieldgoal instead of ripping off a TD. Being up 3 already, he should have went for the jugular. He shpould have challenged the Wimberly mark. We have seen too too many games where you give the Texasses and Ohio Bucks a chance that the refs help them out on their comebacks. Go for the jugular next time, CPR. We cannot afford to be conservative in the B12.
