On one of Sam's early scrambles he got right to the first down, but was spotted 1yd short. It was not a case where he slid on the ground. The side judge had no players in his way. It was the worst spot of the night.

I'm not sure what CW is watching there but that spot looks right to me, short of the yellow line and then when Wimberly is on his back he puts the ball above his head on the ground at the 3, but he never actually got there.

It's not like the Big 12's lead official is a Texas graduate or anything.

Re: If you DVR'd the Texas game...

If this game ends up being the one that costs us a bowl game, I would love to see Iowa State sue the Big 12 for financial damages due to fraudulent behavior. I know it will never happen, which is why this is 95% not serious, but something has to make the Big 12 leaders learn that it's not okay to protect Texas simply because they're playing teams like Iowa State.

Re: If you DVR'd the Texas game...

The QB run right before that Richardson was at the 12, could be argued butt down at 13 and they spotted it at the 14.

Until the Dentist and the entire Thursday night crew are fired, nothing changes.

I had a partial tooth cap come off while flossing my teeth last night...and it was put there by a Texas Dentist. I'm not saying it's a dentist conspiracy, but what else could it be?

Re: If you DVR'd the Texas game...

The spot was wrong, it should have been closer to the yard mark...but it wasn't a first down. They had 3 more plays to get it, and they didn't...that was the biggest problem with that drive.

I'm as ****** as the next guy about the outcome, but I'm ready to move on. Nothing is going to change; if the Cyclones come out and play Tech like they played Thursday, I like our chances.

Certainly some shyster refs. Who said refs play fair? Who says they do not get paid outside their duties? This is big business and it may be unscrupulous.

I agree with others that this spot you question was perfectly spotted. Others? I don't know, but nothing can be done so move on and don't let the officials decide this next time.

Slow motion it. The spot is clearly at least 1 yard back from where wimberly was down.

It wasn't loud enough. I couldn't hear it over the ESPN talking heads on the t.v. Make sure to be louder next game and ALLL GAME when Texas comes to town in two years.

There is no may in unscrupulous. You may take that to the bank.
