    10/4 Weather Thread

Is it still suppose to storm pretty bad in the DM area tonight? I know the Granger area got some storms earlier.

Large tornado, (estimated near 2mi wide) NE of Wayne, Nebraska. Multiple homes destroyed.

Sioux Falls NWS says if it holds together, track will take it very near Sioux City. No warning for Sioux City yet, but should be preparing.

    Re: 10/4 Weather Thread

Was at a homecoming game in Akron, Iowa last night. Had everyone in the middle portion of the school to ride out the cell that went through Wayne. The worst of it never hit Akron head on but it was probably good to have everyone in there for good measure. I stood outside watching it roll through and man was it impressive. Especially toward the east (the heart of it).
Meanwhile Alta, Iowa got hit hard and had fans of both teams in the schools basement. Winds strong enough to blow the visiting bleachers across the street.
Just my two cents. Some pretty impressive cells.
