Anyone who is surprised by this, raise your hand...

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

    Honest question/proposal:

Could Royce switch to football? He's a physical specimen and is crazy athletic. It would require WAY less travel. He'd be a beast of a tight end.

Absolutely - because if it's ONE thing RW has exhibited consistently is his complete lack of being able to be trusted. With showing up. Or staying in shape. Or doing what he said he's going to do. Or keep his mouth shut and be a good locker room guy. Or not getting girls pregnant.

RW needs to find an individual sport where he can come and go as he pleases, train as he pleases, and receive points for going back on his word. Then he'd be world-class at something.

    Re: No Europe for Royce

Incredible how he continues to sabotage himself. Not going on this Euro trip is a huge set back for him. It's not as bad as him missing nearly the entire training camp last year but it's close. He had a real opportunity in Philly to turn his career around and he's not doing it. Frustrating as hell to watch.

    Re: No Europe for Royce

I liked this line from his recent interview with Henry Abbot:

White has been frank that he did not work out much this offseason, other than the last two weeks that he spent with the Sixers' coaching staff.

A new season for Royce White - TrueHoop Blog - ESPN

    Good choices Royce.

When the money dries up after the rookie contract this year ends, then what, Royce? Music? Does music pay much? And if you have child support, do you have money to pay your kids?

This guy will never play. I was slightly optimistic a few months back but now, it just seems painfully obvious it isn't going to happen.

unless he was told to stay back for conditioning, he will be coming to a d-league near you. Man, it's a darn shame.

    Re: No Europe for Royce

Hell, he might not even be on a D-League roster at this rate. Such a waste. He's going to look back on all this in a few years and wonder what he's done with himself.

Probably why he is not going to Europe; needs to avoid adding European babies to his debit list.

He stayed back at Denny's to help the homeless.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
