I really want a photo-op of Rhoads and Hoiberg posing with their Big XII apology letters. It would be worth the inevitable fine.

If ISU sold prints of such a photo I bet they'd make a profit even after covering the cost of the fine.

    I agree about Netten:

I think Cole Netten looks pretty good.

I would pay for a Hoiberg/Rhoads picture with the apology letters. Not a lot, because that's diaper money, but I'd pay something.

You could use the letter as a diaper for all they're worth.

Probably an indication as to why (one of many reasons) I'll never be a university president but if I'm Leath I'd tell the Big 12 office to go **** themselves if they tried to fine Paul.

Re: Williams: An impossible pill to swallow

Someone posted a comment at the end of CW's article that I hadn't thought of. If Davis is ejected like he should have been, they he is not drawing the pass-interference calls afterward, which was the bulk of Texas' offense in the 4th quarter. The fact he did not get ejected may be more atrocious than the 'not-a-fumble' call.

No, they both equally suck camel-dongs.

Already rebudgeted for the next couple months so I can contribute to paying Rhoads' fine.

Re: Williams: An impossible pill to swallow

On the video of the Mike Davis cheap shot, it looks like the other receiver is trying to take one also. When you see an orchestrated pattern, it says something about the program. I have no doubt that Paul Rhoads would have acted totally opposite of Mack Brown if our players did something like that. Where is the outrage from the Texas coaches?

How many other schools have we seen in the Big 12 over the years get screwed by officiating to protect the Longhorns? No wonder half the league left. No wonder Texas wants to stay.

Re: Williams: An impossible pill to swallow

I'm still processing this one, but here are some of my initial thoughts -

    - Welcome to the Big 12, Nigel Tribune. Glad we burned the redshirt; it was totally worth it to see a young player totally out of his depth on national tv. Good for his confidence.

    - David Irving is going to be really, really good next year with a sull saeson and offseason at DT under his belt. Excellent closing speed for a DT.

    - Willie Scott was all over the place. He's a great boost of energy to the defense.

-Jeremiah George deserves better than this. That was a blood and guts effort last night, and the strip on the goal line should be an instan classic and part of Cyclone lore, and not a footnote to another kick in the balls game.

    - I believe in Sam Richardson as the long term answer at QB but he has to get better at going through his reads when he drops back. There's definitely some happy feet going on in the pocket at times.

    - This is a much better team than the one we saw stumble against UNI. Be patient, guys. Progress won't be measured solely by wins and losses this season. The young guys are getting better every week.

As Mangino so wisely said "Dollar Signs."
