    One game...? Seems like some people forget how bad the O was in the 1st half of the Tulsa game.

    Will see how they do against Texas.

    We missed two field goals in the first half, punted twice, and still scored two touchdowns--including one in a 1:26, 66 yard drive. You call that "bad"?

    While the offense looked good, I think that was the worst defense we have played thus far. Yes, I think UNI had a better defense than Tulsa.

    Again, I do think the offense looked better. I thought Mess called a good game and the players executed well. But it wasn't exactly against the Steel Curtain. Progress is progress, I guess.

    I would like to see this offense with a healthy Farniok, Richardson, Brun and Lalk. We have yet to see that. Lalk is going to be really good. If Lalk, farniok, dagel can stay healthy our oline will be quite good next year. Not to mention the RS frosh who are coming along. Just once I'd like to see several plays in a row of a healthy Brun with Bibbs two TE set in the Pistol with a healthy Richardson. This is what we have been waiting for. It truly is difficult for a defense to now prepare for the speed of Wimberly, Bundrage at wr and now Ecby at the other end and to throw in two legit threats at TE would be nice.

    You ever think it may have something to do with all the bye weeks and consistency? Iowa State was night and day different against UNI, Iowa, and Tulsa in the second half. I cant image ever playing a schedule like this when I was in school and trying to build any consistency. Football players are used to games week in and week out. I work with a high school football coach and I asked him what he thought it would be like to prepare a team for a schedule like this and he said there would be no way for the team to build any consistency and attributes a lot of the 1st half issues to the 2 bye weeks. I would put a lot of money on the fact the offense will have consistency right out of the gate on Thursday.
