Has a D1 coach been fired this early in the season before?

That's ****** on the employer's part but he had it coming.

How you fire someone tells a lot about your character. Haden should be following him right out the door.

He thought it was a routine visit, and asks the bus to wait, then the USC admins tell the bus to go on ahead. That must have been awkward.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

They also have no identity. Even when they lost to Wazzu I thought they had a good defense. Holding a Leach coached squad to 10 points is pretty solid especially when your offense does nothing all night. But than they give up 62 points last night. 62!

Out of their 22 starters on offense and defense, they only have three guys that were 3 stars. Think about that for a second, 19 out of their 22 starters were four stars or better. And they have the worst offense in the Pac 12 and just gave up 62 points. It's crazy how bad they have been
This. Kiffin is a terrible coach. It's unbelievable how bad their QB play has been and how bad their offense as a whole has been. USC has elite recruits all over the field on offense and they are afraid to throw down the field at all. Cody Kessler was the 2nd rated QB in his class, Wittek was the 3rd rated QB in his class and both look terrible. I'm not sure how anyone could have watched USC play this year and thought "Yeah we need that guy to run our offense."

Also after the way he left Tennessee, Kiffin deserved to be fired in a manner like this.

Kiffin was one of my least favorite coaches in the game.

What an overhyped coach, what success has he ever really had? And don't say USC OC, I could have called plays with the talent they had. Good riddance, get your life insurance license and get out of football.

Not hammering him, I just don't know. Everytime I hear "Lane Kiffin" its always about how he is losing again. Where has he been a winner?
He has a dad with extensive NFL connections. That's pretty much it. He's been fast-tracked WAY ahead of his talents and skills, and it's finally catching up to him.

Clearly not more talent than Oregon, and Stanford is debatable, although Stanford clearly makes much better use of the talent they get than Kiffin ever did at USC. Or Tennessee. Or the Oakland Raiders.

Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
