    Interesting Sam Richardson Stat

After a couple decent games this year, SR is on pace for just over 3000 yards passing. If he pulls it off, it would be the first time since some guy named Seneca did it. In fact, ISU has not had 3000 as a team since 2002.

Shows how anemic our offense has been during the past decade, its not as if most of those teams were particularly robust running teams either.

Stevie Hicks had a few thousand yard seasons in there and Bret Meyer ended up our all time passing leader. The Chizik years were a pile of suck though.

Also from KU game til now, 15 TDs and only 4 INTs. 7 TDs and 3 INTs this year.

Last couple of QBs have been turnover prone. Offense is definitely better when you aren't squandering opportunities.

Arnaud was our last QB who could throw more TD's than INT's. SJ and Barnett played their butts off, but SR is definitely an upgrade in the TD to turnover ratio department.

    Re: Interesting Sam Richardson Stat

Since Bret Meyer's 19-10 TD/INT ratio in 2005, the the next best TD/INT ratio was by Arnaud in 2008. 15-10 ratio that year.

    Arnaud had a 15/13 in 2009, and a 13-10 his senior year
    Jantz produced 10/11 and 13/12
    Barnett had 6/4 and 6/6

Sam so far has played the position far more efficiently on paper with TDs. The bar has been set pretty low in terms of consistency in YPG from the QB position. Going back to 2007, ISU threw for less than 200 yards in a game at least 7 times per year in every season, except for 2008.

Last year when we had a QB controversy Sam had a better TD to Interception ratio, and a better QB rating than he does this year. So I guess you think that we do worse when we only use one quarterback.

I'm more interested in the only 1 win as a starter stat. Hopefully he can add on to that on Thursday.

for the record Austen Aurnaud was terrible.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

Why don't you try playing for 3 different coaches and a bunch of different O coordinators. All while having having next to nothing for talent around you.

For the big 12 in 2012 3000 passing yards would have put him behind 4 guys who passed for greater than 4200 yards last season alone.

Goes to show u how far behind our offense is.

    He really wasn't.

Was Arnaud the best qb we've had? No, but that guy would have run though a brick wall for a first down.
