I still don't get why the coaching staff didn't either play Rohach or call a lot less zone reads vs. Iowa. It's one thing to try to establish an identity, but a team can't run options when the QB has a bad ankle, just like an air raid offense would have to adjust if the QB couldn't throw.

Any Offense that runs an Offense that is based in a large part by a Running QB should have a backup that gets snaps every game. No running QB makes it through a year entirely healthy.

I hope so. Because a non-running SR is a bad deal

I agree. It's strange to say all of that after you just tried doing what you said wouldn't work last game knowing it wouldn't work

It would be interesting to see what would happen if Rohach is put in against a bad Tulsa Defense and hangs 50 pts (similar to SRQB hanging 50 on a bad KU team).

Rohach is the better QB--he was recruited by Tom Herman.....Messingham recruited Richardson......that is why Richardson is playing.....end of story----if you want the best chance to win games...you play Rohach--end of story. A decision on this change needs to be made soon.

“It is a lingering type of ankle injury that may bother him throughout the course of the season,” Rhoads said.

Don't like to hear that! I feel bad for Sam, he just can't stay healthy (flu, ankle, groin).

I'll never understand why they are so out in the open on injury information. Are all college programs this way?? Now we read that Sam had a groin injury as well. I'm not knocking you for writing it Chris since they told you but I would think they would want keep injury info from the opponents.

I really don't think that makes a difference.

No kidding. They need lessons from Bill Snyder regarding injury reports.
