    Got to love these kind of stories. Similar story with the long snapper for Texas who used to be a Green Beret. Never played a snap of football in high school. Hopefully there will be more of these stories with Afghanistan winding down and more people turing to college after the military. It is good to see these service members continue to overcome obstacles, follow their dreams and be successful.

    Welcome Tom Hall! Great to have you on the team and impressed with your desire to get a good education and play Big 12 Football. I'm sure he will bring another level of maturity and drive that some other players do not when they come out of hugh school. Would love to see him make kis mark on this team.

    I don't understand the people blaming in the NCAA for fault in this one. The fact that they're willing to allow for his appeal is exactly the due process. You have 5 years to play four as soon as you enroll in school. His five years are up and they're going to give him back time instead of just saying, "Sorry, you used up your clock."

    It's awesome on the part of Iowa, Iowa State, and MTSU for giving him an opportunity. Shame on the rest of the schools for turning a cold shoulder to someone who wanted to walk on.

    Agreed but this should be a no brainier exception for the NCAA. I hope they make an amendment to this rule for the future however.

    I think lately the NCAA is realizing how stupid their rulings are. I think Middle Tennessee St. had a player with a similar story and was originally declared ineligible, then that decision reversed. Also the Okoro case too
