    D-Backs?

Maybe I am missing something here but does anyone know why we are burning a red shirt on a D-back and Charlie Rogers did not set foot on the field last weekend? I thought Charlie was one of the bright spots on defense during the UNI game and now I am not hearing anything about him. Is he hurt?

Even is Tribune has a lot of upside, I don't think he is better at this point then Charlie IMO. S. Richardson continues to get picked on and burnt though he was better in the Iowa game. I feel like based on what I saw they are both better and have more size then Sam. If Sam is the best that is who should be on the field, I just thought it was strange the way Charlie was hyped by the coaches and then suddenly there is no sign of him.

I don't know how much he played but Charlie was definitely in the game last week.

I thought so too, but I can't rely on the ol' melon for that stuff anymore (especially when I'm trying to block something out).

There is a reason I said IMO (In My Opinion). If he did play it could not have been more then a handful of plays as I was at the game and specifically watching for him.

    Re: D-Backs?

Charlie had a lot of tackles in week one due to our front 7 being an absolute joke and them reaching in the secondary.

I'm excited to see Tribute progress, with that said I think Charlie has a lot of potential too but he is more of a safety than a cornerback for sure.

Exactly. And that's why I asked. After all, opinions are based in reasons.

    Re: D-Backs?

I know for sure that Charlie Rogers missed a key tackle on the kick return right after ISU's first TD. Still think that they're grooming him for Safety to replace Washington.

    Re: D-Backs?

Lets say Tribune is better, why on earth waste a year? We are building a program, and keep playing true freshman for sub par teams... that and our offense constantly being the worst in D1 football is troubling to me. Not to mention the lack of ability to game plan with any one QB in 5 years has me scratching my head. I think we even used Austen incorrectly...

He's the only true freshman the past two years. The reason he is playing this year is because he is one of our best and getting him experience now will pay off next year when we lose our top 3 DB's.

    Re: D-Backs?

I remember Tribune getting burnt/beat on a play or two that were pretty crucial.

ME go away??? Sounds like you (and some other folks here) should go be 'Bama fans or someone like that. Much more of an easy deal.
