What coaches do you feel confident about?

Right now for me, the only coach that I'm confident in is Wally. His defense vastly improved from week 1 and he had the guts to replace the weak links on defense (put in Knott, tried out Tribune, etc.) We always see adjustments after halftime from him.

Rhoads has no passion yet this year. The Rhoads I loved was the one losing his mind on the sidelines and going crazy with his players after a big play, the one who called gutsy trick plays in key moments, etc.

I'm sure a lot of position coaches are doing fine. I feel bad for coach K because he has a banged up O-line. The D-line improved quite a bit and held their own for the most part against a good O-line.

    Screw Messingham.

Sorry many posters on here have far more expertise on playstation where they were able to win National Championships and recruit 5 star guys so you would have no chance.

i would argue that dealing with 8 year olds is far more difficult, they are not good at focusing.

Re: What coaches do you feel confident about?

The only coach I really doubt is Messingham, and I doubt him really only as a coordinator, not a position coach. I feel pretty confident about our defensive staff and both Sturdy and Pope. I don't think we have seen enough games with Coach K on O-line and Bleil at tight ends for me to make a decision yet.

Mess does not even talk like an OC. Even not being a head coach, he feels he can throw players under the bus. No way can one feel confident about the OC. He is the pits.

CPR is doing what he is doing with purpose. The talk at the half of the eiu game is an example. This is a young team. No need to go crazy on them; that will only result in less relaxed play. Wally's comments from the practice update at cyclones.com also reflect this plan.

Re: What coaches do you feel confident about?

I am confident is all the defensive coaches. Confident in Sturdy, on offense and that is it. I have not seen enough from Klenakis. I have literally 0 confidence in Messingham. Pope is still a toss up to me. I have seen some good rbs from his group but their performance is strongly based on how the line blocks but at the same time they need to people miss.

This. It's not like the man has completely lost his fire. Some groups need to be coached a little bit differently and Rhoads is coaching this group a little less crazy than we are used too. We are very lucky to have a coach who can be both the crazy guy on the sidelines and the calm, collected head coach. His ability to be both crazy and calm will pay dividends in the future.
