First BCS rankings of the year

Surprised at FSU over Oregon. Would be interesting to see if that would hold if they both go 13-0.

Baylor will have some trouble getting into the top 2 even if they go undefeated. SEC, B1G, ACC, Pac-12 all have undefeated teams ranked higher and at least 3 of those conferences will need to lose.

FSU might be the real deal, Nov 7th against Miami is going to be a huge game.

more ACC teams in the top 10 than SEC. Wonder when the last time that happened?

Stanford should be behind Miami and Baylor.

This looks like it would be a great season to start the playoff. Too bad we still have to wait another year.

    Re: First BCS Rankings Released

Assuming Baylor stays unbeaten, they will move up a few spots from process of elimination.
Oregon and Stanford both play each other.
Miami and Florida St both play each other.
Alabama and Missouri could play each other in the SEC championship.
Assuming no huge upsets, I could see the final BCS standings looking something like this:
    1. Alabama
    2. Oregon
    3. Florida St
    4. Ohio St.
    5. Baylor

I could see Baylor jumping Ohio St. too, since Baylor has more chances at beating better teams than OSU. OSU's remaining schedule is crap, other than Michigan.
Baylor could still beat Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Okie St.

Hate that the computers dont include margin of victory factored in somehow. Thats a huge difference for baylor.

If Florida St. wins out, they also really deserve a shot. Thus why the BCS sucks.

I would rather see Oregon vs FSU in the championship than Bama vs ???
But, won't happen if Bama wins out.
Why can't the playoff start this year?

A lot of good teams this year. OSU shouldn't be top 6 IMO. Stanford either
