Re: When will the next win come?

It takes Koolaid to call a horrible Tulsa team a "win"?

After this game, the way Tulsa's D makes SR look, people will be calling for Messingham to get a contract extension...

    Paul Rhoads' players never quit.

Re: When will the next win come?

Against Tulsa if defense keeps playing well and offense shows any competence. Not really concerned about how the defense will play, but minimal competence is hard for this offense.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

Re: When will the next win come?

We will beat Kansas. The good ol' days of celebrating and waxing optimistic about out one win. I hate KU so bad, this is a close second to beating Iowa or Lawrence Phillip's alma mater.

Here is where things get Joe Diffy 1994: next year we lose to NDSU and Iowa. Iowa is a BAD loss.....50 plus points. excuses abound: new OC, injuries, young players, no south end zone, etc.... the stage is set for us to then lose to Toledo. The fat guy at KU will have ISU figured out by then and we go 0-fer in the Big 12. The new defensive coordinator at Texas will put a big ZERO on us. Stoops will only beat us by 14 in McCarney-fashion so he can keep the Cyclone football program in tact the way it is.....a bye week for them basically. I now say NO wins in football next year.
When did this all go bad? I don't know. There is such a small window for a coach at a school like ours or Kansas State to do what Kansas State did. I say the badly thrown 2-point conversion against Nebraska was a big hurt in the overall arc of progress. In hindsight, the leaving of the dude to Ohio State and the pathetic Pinstripe performance looms large and really hurt recruiting. The 2011 Texas home game is still a big freaking turd sitting there that wafts up from history.

We'll lose every game except OU and sign Rhoads to a twenty-year contract.

If ISU does not beat Tulsa, I'm all in on an 0-12 season.

Tulsa's as must-win as it gets for this season.
If we don't beat them, I'm also all in on 0-12. If we can't get this done, we're not getting anyone else.

Certainly not many conference teams. I assume we'd be too beaten up by Kansas for anything to matter, and there just isn't much to play for when you're that far winless.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

Re: When will the next win come?

Wow...I'm thinking some anti-depressants need to be prescribed for some of the posters. To me Tulsa may be tougher than KU just due to location. Tulsa is a possibility because they have taken their lumps, but their two losses were to OU and what I had thought was a respectable Bowling Green team. Is there a chance of an upset in the Big 12? Sure, always is. We also could easily end up being the 2013 version of last year's Kansas. That's the gloomiest perspective. On the upside I think we have a better coaching staff which could lead to enough improvement to pull out a win or three. Hard to predict which one.

As for next year? With the addition of a pretty good recruiting class and the experience added to our young team this year will all lead positive results. We could easily see 7-8 wins next year.
