Jeff Woody: "Everyone is expecting me to do big things..."

    And I will.

So he said in the opening few seconds of the gameday hit tape for last Saturday's game, which was a pretty good one by the way.

    BUT! Woody didn't even play...

Definitely not his fault, but not only did he NOT do big things...he did NOthing.

At this rate, I'm concerned about the programs ability to retain players after this season. What RB/WR/QB/TE would want to commit to ISU to play for this OFFENSIVE unit?!?!? Offensive has multiple definitions in this case. Clearly there is no dedication to utilizing the talent that they have, no emphasis on keeping everyone in the offense well-fed. Wouldn't be surprised if Bundrage goes from 7 rec. for 146 and 3 Td's to 0 catches against Tulsa...

Pay attention to D'Vario Montgomery's commitment status, because at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if he's realized he may have escaped the frying pan (USF) only to jump right into the fire...

Montgomery is here to stay, he's already enrolled and currently red shirting. If he transfers again, he starts losing years of eligibility.

They would come because they think they can be the difference that turns things around.

I feel bad for Woody in that they continue to trot him out to give interviews after games and he has to answer questions about how ****** our offense is when he didn't get much of an opportunity himself to contribute. Always gives good quotes, though!

I feel bad for the OP starting such an awful thread.

Remember, you're unique. Just like everyone else.

Until further notice, the Big 12 tournament is best. There's an experience here. Not just the teams -- the feel, the vibe, the establishments. Iowa State not only won the pregame -- filling the nearby Power & Light District -- it won the whole damn scene.

    Fire Messingham!

Just wanted to make sure we're staying consistent within the football related threads. Should I complain about bubble screens on 4th and four or does someone else want to take it from here?

I thought this was a thread about Woody moving to OC.

If our line can't open up holes long enough for our quick RB's to get through them, how do you expect a slower Woody to?

I think this is why we haven't fired Messingham yet, Woody can't coach until next year anyway.

I will contribute points all day long as long as you get the point that it is a thread that you should be ashamed of.

Paul on Cyclone Report just said that Woody is banged up and can't handle a lot of carries.
