    The stats don't lie!!

Sam leads the team with 86 rushing yards!!! 86 of our whopping 227. Ouch!!! We are supposed to be a running team. The thing that upsets me the most is that White has 12 carries in 2 games. He needs 15-18 carries per game. He's our best RB. I used to love Shontrelle, but lets face it, he can't hit holes even when there are some. He needs to be a slot WR with his speed and moves. White and Wimberly are averaging 5 yards per carry each. They both need more carries. And Woody has just 3 carries.

Makes me miss the A-Rob days. Easy 100 yards every week.

This! This is why Mess should be fired. Stable of talented backs and we don't use them.

Hell, I will take the job as OC. I watched the game with my brother and I would predict what play we were gonna run every play. I was right 75-80% of the time... Now if I know what plays are being called, I'm sure the opponent has a pretty damn good idea too! Just wait until next year when we have Lazard, Bundrage, Montgomery, Daley... and Richardson with a full season under his belt!! The play calling better improve by then.

Hard to get the RBs carries when we don't run many plays. Too many 3 and outs. And then playing catch-up so have to pass at the end.

I wonder if the RB are really any good. Hard to tell the line is so banged up. We need a big back like Iowa has, someone like Dwayne Crutchfield. These little backs don't do us any good.

White averaged just over 5 a carry last year and he is at 5 this year. It's not the RBs, it's the line. The point of the small backs is that we have giant OLs so the D isn't supposed to see the RB get the ball..... Darren David has 2 young sons who dominate pee-wee football. They break off long TD runs all the time. Lets start recruiting them NOW!!!

The O-Line can make running backs look a lot better than they really are. Take Weisman for example.

I don't care if we have Troy Davis back there running, if we don't block, we can't run.

We are fine at our skill positions. Our offensive line gets zero push.

    Re: The stats don't lie!!

This is one of the worst offensive teams I've seen at ISU, back to Mac 2006. Looks just like that team. "Guess what we are going to run...Oh, you did?" It's an embarrassment. Not saying we should have won by any means, or that Iowa wanted it more, This team is just plain bad. Into year 5 under this staff, unacceptable. We have no offensive performance. We made it look like a game at the end, to one of the worst Iowa teams we've ever played. And guess what, they straight up beat our ***. Unacceptable.

I just got done smoking a cigar with a good friend who is an Iowa grad, we both agreed, the only thing more embarrassing to playing in this game, was being the team who lost it.

I agree this is the main problem.

I also think it would be very helpful to just pick a back and let him get a rhythm. I know we have a deep stable of backs but each of them getting a couple series can't be great.

I don't think our receivers are fine. To me they really struggle to get separation on opposing defensive guys. As a unit they don't impress me at all.
