    Fred Hoiberg

He's pretty good at coaching offense in basketball. Anyone know if he can coach offense in football?

    We don't have enough transfers

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

I'm will to support JP if he want to give it a try.

We need to win the right way.

    Or lose the right way.

    Same thing, right?

    Re: Fred Hoiberg

He was a QB. Maybe he can dye his hair black, grow a stash, and change his name to Alfred Boiherg and come play QB.

    Re: Fred Hoiberg

Fred played almost a decade in the NBA. He probably could have been a 10 year starting QB in the NFL had he gone that route. He hits holes in one in golf. He took ISU from worst to 4th in 2 years and 2 tourney births with ZERO previous coaching experience. Basically what I'm saying is that EVERYTHING he touches turns to gold.

If you gave him 1 year to catch up by going to football coaching clinics and watching tape, the guy could certainly call a better game than Messingham.

Get the ball to athletes, and give them space to work - seems like a no-brainer.

    Re: Fred Hoiberg

Hoiberg becomes OC, Royce White becomes LB. We'd never lose.

This thought literally crossed my mind in about the 3rd quarter. He couldn't do any worse!
