At this point I'm choosing to believe that we are a much better team than we shoed at the UNI game. If you look at the talent level we have brought in the last 3 years we should be much better. Not a huge Messingham fan but overall I really like our coaching staff. Quite frankly I'm ready for our boys to roll the Hawks so all you whiners can put your Negative Nancy skirts back in the closet.
no we aren't. Weisman is going to run for 200 yards. If David Johnson can tear us apart I'm extremely scared for what Weisman and Bullock can do. Not worried about Rudock or their receivers but their O-line is actually pretty good and our defensive line is a complete joke. A junior college could run at will on our D-line. Its going to be a LOOOOONG saturday night
ďUrgency,Ē Rhoads said. ďThatís exactly what I told our staff. Itís exactly what I told our players. Urgency in getting your job done. Thatís in a 100 percent rate of speed at executing your responsibility ó whether itís a fit, whether itís a tackle, whether itís a route, whether itís a cut-off block. Everybody needs a little bit more urgency in coaching and playing.Ē
I am having a really difficult time being pessimistic about this game. After seeing the defensive improvement in the 2nd half against UNI and watching both Iowa games (including last week in person), I think that if Iowa plays the same defense they did against Mo St ISU should have a heck of a game.
