He'll only need about 8 carries if they're all like the first one.

Vikes fan, but that was a terrible no touchdown call against Calvin Johnson. He clearly had the ball and was stretching it over the goal line. Oh well. First of many bad calls. Skol Vikes!

Gotta hold onto that ball until you get back to the locker room now I guess.

Vikings fan.....but that rule screwed the Lions out of a touchdown. Rule doesn't seem fair.

If a running back breaks the plane of the goal line, and he then fumbles it when he hits the ground, it is still a touchdown, right? Why should a reception be different? Just doesn't seem right.

The receiver needs to complete the catch. The runningback already has possession.

It wouldn't matter if the running back was bobbling the ball as long as he had hold of it when he crossed the goal line.....as the receiver did in this case. If the running back crosses the goal line with the ball, hits the ground and then fumbles it.....it's still a touchdown, and he only did the same thing the receiver did. Once the ball crosses the plane in someone's hands, it should be a touchdown.....the ground should never affect it, imo.

The receiver needs to have possession before it can be a touchdown. The receiver doesn't have possession until they come down with the ball.

Not to mention, the Lions sure are leaving points on the field today.
