Head to head I think Big 12 teams would be able to handle Big Ten as usual even if the general perception is otherwise.
Head to head vs the Pac the B 12 is much weaker than it has been in the past usually the Big 12 is better top to bottom than the Pac but not this year
Vs the SEC its pretty unchanged despite dominance of the SEC the second teir of SEC teams are down a little (UGA, Florida, SC, LSU aren't getting much love) and after Bama-ATM play this weekend one of the elite teams will have a loss. Vs the ACC is where the Big 12 is getting hurt this year.
The ACC has pretty much blown last 5 and even 10 years and none of the programs spend any time ranked in the top 10 after the first few weeks of the season (could be wrong but I think there is some crazy stat that the only ACC team to finish ranked top 10 was 2010 VT you can make an argument the Big East was better than the ACC some years) however this season looks different since Clemson and FSU look like legit contenders and not the pretenders they have been last couple years and LVille looks like a much better program than WVA right now. Big 12 doesn't have an answer to FSU and Clemson with OU being down and Texas being a joke. Most Florida State fans would love to jump to the Big 12 if Miami or Clemson would join them but I think those feelings will be gone soon if they aren't already.
Big 12 is still good, but solid yet unspectacular programs like T Tech are not going to get the respect they deserve which they would in another conference. Conference really should be a 12 teamer with BYU and LVille in their first year and a championship game. Its a huge mistake looking back not adding those 2 schools both would be good fits and BYU would have lessened the academic hit of taking Lville and WVA.
Umm, no the big 12 offenses are way down this year.
