Ok - Time for Positive thoughts

    1. It can't get worse, this team needs more time to gel (all the youngsters)
    2. OLine - Were we without Ethan Tuftee all game & Tom Farniok most of the game - they will return.
    3. We were w/out two others - Jansen Watsen & DeVondrick Nealy
    4. Luke Knott showed us he's gonna be a good one.
    5. Our wideouts caught what they were supposed to
    6. Team wakeup call delivered, they now understand we aren't good enough to just show up (including coaches)

    Thoughts?

Re: Ok - Time for Positive thoughts

This loss could very well be a blessing in disguise. All we can do is keep supporting them like we always have been and see what happens. I think after the non-conference is over, we will have a better view of this team. It may even take the first conference game against Texas.

It might be a long season. Hopefully they learn something from this year and make improvements.

11 games left...anything can happen. Paul will have this team believing they can win them all.

The only possible way that could be the case is if it causes Rhoads to replace the OC and the new guy is a genius who takes us to an 8+ win total. I'm looking at you Sturdy and Coach K.

What is sad is that those two guys are actually proven D-1 OCs.... Mess is NOOOOOOT. He is just a proven position coach (and no I do not count QB as one of those positions).

    I don't think we need a genius, just someone w/ D1 experience.

I honestly don't know their stats...only that I'd go with someone who has experience over someone without it.

Just curious why does D1 experience matter? There are many good OC's with no prior D1 experience.

Wow, good thing that didn't bother Oregon from hiring Chip Kelly as their OC, from his OC position at I-AA New Hampshire...

Tuftee played the entire game after Farniok went out.

Just not one at ISU. You got me Curt, apparently, Chip Kelly was a great hire at Oregon!

True, Chip Kelly was an outstanding hire. Curious, what does that have to do with ISU?

You may want to know that Mess had no OC experience at any level. So there's that.
