I have either Cam Newton or Big Ben this weekend. Any opinions?

Big Ben has no run game, and Seattle's pass rush is a mess right now. Take Cam Newton and enjoy his two passing tds and one rushing td.

Thanks, got to pick up points where I can. My opponent had Payton last night and in our league was worth 59.2 points.

Peyton only pulled in 49 points in my league. That doesn't seem like enough. Maybe I should have looked more into the scoring system before the draft...

    Re: Official Fantasy Football Thread

My opponent had Peyton as well. Thankfully I had D. Thomas pick up two late TDs to keep me in striking distance. And also Denver defense stepping up and shutting Rice down in the Seco d half helped.

Buttttt, apparently 4 people in the league vetoed the trade so it didn't go thru. Seriously? Isn't the veto capability there to avoid total trade-rapes? It's not like I was giving him Knowshon Moreno for his stud WR, he's the one who offered it in the 1st place!

Am I the only one who thinks this is a total over-use of the veto power in fantasy football?!? It's ridiculous..
Fortunately for me, the commish in my league said that if both sides agreed to the trade, it would go through regardless of how much of a trade rape it is. If both sides want to do it why should other people get to say no? He said to do your research before you do the trade though, surprised the guy I was trading with still said yes (he needed a TE and he loves Wes Welker)

What kind of points do your QB's get?!? Think ours is pretty standard, 25 yds/1 point, 4 pts/td, a couple bonuses over 300, 400 yds, etc. & he got me 46.28. Don't get me wrong, I'm still thrilled. I just think a league that high scoring wouldn't be as fun for some reason.

agreed. My kicker got nearly twice as many points as Decker. I'll give him one more game and if it's even remotely close to yesterday he'll be shown the door.

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

To be fair he did still have plenty of targets, & was 1 drop away from ~8 more points which would have been manageable. I wouldn't give up on him just yet.

The problem is that Manning is going to spread it around, so the only consistent fantasy threat each week for the Denver o is manning. Next week it could just as easily be decker with a big game and Julius Thomas getting shut out.

Demaryius Thomas will always be a consistent fantasy scorer as he makes his money after the catch. Welker, Decker, and Julius Thomas will always be inconsistent fantasy scorers.
