    Sportsmanship

    After a very tough loss:

    1. Be a good sport. Don't act like a three year old and whine on a message board. It's unmanly.

    2. Want to talk about growing a pair? Have the guts to keep your emotions in check, and admit UNI is a good team.

    3. Support your University and the coaches.

    4. Let's earn back our reputation as a classy fan base.

    5. Enough "meltdowns." RFK said "There is no substitute for athletics." He was right. Even as a fan, last nights loss can be a lesson for all areas of your life - especially how you deal with disappointment. Some of the stuff on this board is down right embarrassing.

I agree with what you are saying, but from a moderator's perspective, in today's world, this board has done pretty well the last 24 hours.

They have to win that national championship thing or whatever they have at the D-II level by a substantial margin in order for me to feel somewhat decent about this loss.

Remember, you're unique. Just like everyone else.

Until further notice, the Big 12 tournament is best. There's an experience here. Not just the teams -- the feel, the vibe, the establishments. Iowa State not only won the pregame -- filling the nearby Power & Light District -- it won the whole damn scene.

This game was the worse loss since Chizslack's 2007 loss to UNI.

There's nothing wrong with saying we aren't very good right now. It doesn't mean I don't support and respect ISU athletics, athletes, and coaches.

there's a real bad loss to colorado in '10 that cost us bowl eligibility that would argue that.

I'd find that hard to defend. We're less than 24 hours removed from the conclusion of the game. What it actually means in the long run for ISU Football is all in the future.

I mean, unless you can see that future.
