FSU tabbs current OC to replace Bowden when he retires

ESPN - Sources: Fisher to replace Bowden at FSU when he retires - College Football

Clearly done to keep him around as other schools were interested in him for HC positions.

That will suck for him in 10 years when Bowden is still coaching and he is stuck at OC.

Step 1: Cut a hole in the box.

There has to be an escape clause in that somewhere.

Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

You mean until Bowden DIES! He won't be retiring.

Yeah, his name was getting tossed briefly around here as well (along with about 500 others). Things are not looking good in the coaching search....I think it has something to do with the "pig sooey" chant.

Re: FSU tabbs current OC to replace Bowden when he retires

Jimbo was someone I hoped we would look at last year (however I was and am happy with Chizik).

I know for certain that the Ga. Tech AD (Dan Radakovich) wanted to get Jimbo (they know each other from LSU where Jimbo was OC and Radokovich was the top assistant AD and in charge of FB).

Some of you are probably joking about the "until Bowden dies" stuff but both he and Paterno appear to be hanging on so they can be the one to finish at the top of the career coaching victory chart.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.
