    Season outlook

This might be piling on, but I could not be more demoralized about that game yesterday. I just can't see a scenario where this isn't a chiz-esque season with some blowouts mixed in. Please talk me off the ledge if possible.

Cant talk you down if Im gonna jump too. =)

Anyway, I just hate that games like this make this fanbase continue to think in the back of their head we will lose in every game. We were building confidence and shaking off the negative thinking and boom....kicked back to where we started.

We win the next two and don't win a single Big12 game. BU and OSU put up 60+ on us.

    I'll jump with you.

After last night. Sleeping it off. And looking over the schedule, I don't see much happening for us.

We should probably start to make some CPR coins so that everything feels just like it did half a decade ago.

    Re: Season outlook

I think we will improve, unfortunately not to the point where we will be any good. I still think we may win a couple of games, also the Big 12 looks to be as bad as it has been in a long time. We will get hammered by the good teams but can probably hang with the lower tier.

    Not a rosy outlook.

I'm extra glad for the baby coming today. I won't even remember this in a few hours.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.

    Re: Season outlook

    1) 2nd half defense == way better.
    2) Luke Knott.
    3) Jansen Watson.
    4) Farniok NOT out for season (at least we hope).
    5) Bye week.
    6) We still have Iowa, Tulsa, Kansas, and West Virginia to play. K State?
    7) Netten.

May my postings be polite and not misunderstood. (And hopefully funny on occasion.)

    Re: Season outlook

There are plenty of examples of Cyclone teams bouncing back from bad losses to make a decent season of it.

The defense did get better (not to the level of good, but they showed more fight than they started with). The offense seemed to stop itself for the most part, and looked demoralized at the end.

They definitely will pay attention in the next two weeks, and hopefully come out with some fire for Iowa.

    Re: Season outlook

It all starts with the guys up front. I thought Sammy Football played a phenomenal game, but lost a lot of opportunities due to the offensive line not giving him enough time to be Sammy Football. Defensive line looked out of shape. Hopefully these are things that can be fixed.

We likely won't be favored to win another game all year. Not even KU.

Personally, I don't see us winning another game. I possibly could have seen us beating Tulsa at home, but on the road I don't think so. They are WAY more talented than UNI is.

After watching Iowa yesterday, I really think they could possibly destroy us.

I thought 5-7 before the season started. Now that UNI ended up being a loss I gotta go with 4-8.

    Re: Season outlook

You Never get a positive result from negative thinking.
    We lost, get over it!
A painful result of playing games is someone has to lose.
Now, Iowa lost, Tulsa lost , these are our next two games.
They may bounce back next week , we have to wait for redemption.
If you have given up send me your tickets, I'm in 24 /7/ 365.
I'm an unconditional cyclone fan, I just love my cyclones.
    Go Cyclones!
