    Re: Rodney Coe

I am guessing this is trolling, but I will bite: Just as good as the rest of our defense did giving up 28 points to UNI at home (i.e. Swell)....

Yep, this thread has just been pwned.

Not trolling at all. I could only watch the 2nd half and didn't notice him.

Did he have any sacks or TFL?

    Re: Rodney Coe

We saw mostly Sam Richardson on defense with some Luke Knott. The other people were floaters.

    Re: Rodney Coe

Honestly, the only people on D I would say did ANYTHING were Broomfield and Knott. Brackens was spotty, and George was only ok. Other than that, they were outplayed badly.

    Re: Rodney Coe

Sam Richardson, DL, LBs all got murdered all game long. It amazes me how these FCS schools are always so ready to play the 1st game while ISU seems to struggle most openers. Our team looked like the FCS team tonight.

He looked good on stunts on pass plays. He has speed. Needs to improve on run but so does everybody.

Yeah, Rhoads said after the game that we are young and inexperienced. Oh really? Well, just so you know Paul, UNI lost 3 starters off of their OL from last year. And they still dominated us. Their new guys came in ready to play, and your's didn't. Just quit with the excuses. You are going into year 5, you shouldn't have a bunch of young and inexperienced guys anymore.

Why shouldn't we have inexperience? There are few programs that reload every year. USC, Texas, Notre Dame - they all have had to reload lately. Cripes, Miami and FSU won national titles and had down years. Iowa have three top-8 finishes and have to reload. In case you dont know, they are higher stature than us so why wouldn't we?

Who do you think we are? Seriously. Of course we are going to have play seniors which then leads to teams with inexperience. It may be the alcohol messing with my brain but don't be dumb.

    Re: Rodney Coe

Didn't see the game but really no reason we should be getting beat in the trenches by an FCS team.

To me, not so much the inexperience, but more the competition. No way we should be losing to them. That's a preparation error.

I don't think it's an excuse but he has to answer the question some how. I feel like you really think Rhoads doesn't know why we lost tonight. Also, you can be going into year 30 and have young and inexperienced guys, year five has nothing to do with what talent we graduated.

Sorry, kind of derailed the original point of the thread with this post.

Sam Richardson had 13 tackles and led the way.
