no problem with it. He was talking to the kid, seemed calm enough, and then other assistants came over and the kid started ignoring the head coach. Slap did no damage, couldn't have done any damage, just startle the kid.

I've seen worse and he'll get hit harder than that in every game. Next time, maybe he won't walk away from the coach when he's taking to him.
In this day and age though, who knows, he'll probably get fired, sued and then hung.

Isn't a draw-and-quartering more S.O.P. for coaches that hurt kid's feelings these days?

I think it's poor coaching, but I don't think it's worthy of an official reprimand or something like that

It depends how much emotional distress he caused on the QB.

This will probably get blown way out of proportions. The coach was upset, but he did not cross a line, my high school coach did way more.

Our coaches did more than that in wrestling.

I hate this clip, because it is the reason that ISU, in the middle of building a pretty awesome foundation for a team with real history of success, lost Earl Bruce.

Nothing wrong. Our old HS coach broke a couple clip boards over our helmets back in the day. I'd rather have a hardass coach.
