About a week ago I found a toddler outside of work, it's male and completely clean (as in fresh clothes and diaper). Obviously I can ask the child who it belongs to.
I've asked this child repeatedly who it belongs to and it doesn't respond. Can I sell this child legally?
I've read online that even found children are still technically the property of the owner and the cops have records of kids that have been reported lost or stolen and you can get in trouble for selling the child even if you found it and it wasn't stolen.
Any experts out there? Thoughts?
