Close between Packers, Vikings and Bears, and both Vikings and Bears will be competing for wild card spots.

Re: NFL: Predictions on NFC North this year??

The Packer's defense has been suspect for 2 years now. We need our D-Line and our secondary to step up this year. I do like Franklin and Lacy in the backfield; if those 2 can help us establish the running game, that opens up more PA pass plays, where Rodgers is deadly. Even with Jennings gone, with Nelson, Cobb and Finley we still have a decent arsenal of receivers.

    Packers 12-4
    Vikings 10-6
    Bears 8-8
    Lions 7-9

Schedule is a big factor; the GB@SF game in Week 1 will be very telling.

*Note, wouldn't trade this division for any other

Everyone is anointing the Packers, but they have had a pretty bad defense for the past 2 years, they have a bad o-line (Buluga's injury didn't help), and they have a beaten up WR group. The Vikings have improved a lot from 2 years ago where the Packers have fallen off. The Bears a d the Lions will always be the Bears and the Lions.

this division might be the worst in the NFC.

When was the last time the Packers had a healthy complete O-Line for most of the season?

im not a vikings fan, but the most impressive part about AP rushing for 2000 yards last year was how he did it in such a pass dominant league. the rules are designed for QBs to put up tons of yards and running games are usually just to keep defenses honest. Having said that, every team KNEW he was going to get the ball. Give him an inch and he'd take it for 6. Reminds me of the way barry bonds was batting in the early 2000's.

NFC West. the 49ers and seahawks owned the vikings and packers last season. both teams would sweep the division again this year

The East has a lot to prove after last year. West has two good teams and two less than good teams. The South last year was bad outside Atlanta, but I expect the Saints to bounce back. The NFC North had the best combined record last year, and no teams lost significant pieces. Basically until proven otherwise, I don't believe that they are the worst division in the NFC.

Eh, the Vikings beat the 49ers pretty handily and the Packers got ****ed against the Seahawks. I will give you that the Seahawks beat the Vikes pretty handily and the 49ers dominated the Pack twice (which was great).

Careful there, wouldn't want to be implying anything about Peterson now.

I would like to point out that if the packers weren't screwed by officiating against the seahawks, that game would have been in Green Bay instead of in San Fran, and the Packers would have had a week to prepare. (And Clay Matthews still would have lost contain on every rush by Kaepernick.)
